EastEnders royalty Adam Woodyatt is reportedly facing trouble in his personal life as his divorce from his wife of 22 years, Beverly Sharp, “turns toxic”.
The actor has played Walford’s longest-running resident Ian Beale for 35 years but last year it was revealed he would be taking an extended break from filming for personal reasons.
Despite being separated since August 2019, now it seems that things could be growing even more difficult as relations allegedly break down between the former couple amid claims he’s not giving her “a fair deal”.
“Despite what he’s saying publicly, she’s had to get lawyers involved to fight her corner,” a source told The Sun.
“The feeling is he’s not offering Bev a fair deal."

"Writers are staying tight-lipped about what happens, so it’s not known yet what the future will hold for the character," a source told the Daily Star.
"There are no guarantees and anything can happen in Albert Square.
"It will be strange for viewers not to have Ian on screen for such a long time,” they continued. “But it will be nice for Adam to have some time out after working on the show for so long."
