The 31-year-old claimed that she gives into treats and indulges – especially when she's on holiday.
Speaking to the Mirror, Cheryl said: "There is no point going on vacation if you're going to be on a diet. I don't believe in diets anyway, they're fads.
"If I was preparing for something big, like a movie role, I'd stick to what I needed to do. But a vacation is time to relax and have fun and not worry.
"You put on a couple of pounds? Who cares! Your jeans are going to be a bit snug when you get back, so what?"
And what will the X Factor judge be snacking on around the pool this year? "Hot, salty, crispy fries with mayonnaise and ketchup."
Cheryl's refreshing attitude could be down to finally finding happiness with her second husband Jean-Bernard.
They married in secret on the island of Mustique last July, just three months after they met.
Despite her happiness in her personal and professional life, Cheryl admitted that she is grateful for her past struggles.
She said: "I wouldn't be able to appreciate the luxuries I have now without it. Sometimes is scares me how fortunate I am."
