The trendy teen is way too cool to hang out with dad David, 39, and 40-year-old mum Victoria too much, so he’s doing separate events.
Retired footballer David revealed his son’s plans while appearing on Good Morning Britain. He said: “I think [Brooklyn] wants to go for a dinner with his friends and he’ll have a separate dinner with his family.
“He’s at that age now when he doesn’t want me to drop him outside the school and things like that, which I definitely do anyway!”
Can you ever imagine it not being cool to spend time with David and Victoria Beckham? No, us neither.
David, also dad to sons Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and three-year-old Harper Seven, added that, because of Brooklyn’s reluctance to be seen with his dad, he likes to play tricks on his eldest child.
He said: “I wasn’t happy about it because I’d got up at seven in the morning to take him to school. So I dropped him round the corner, and as he was walking into school I opened the window and shouted ‘I love you!’ to him. It didn’t go down too well but it made him smile a couple of days later.”
But it’s not just getting embarrassed by their parents: David said all of his children are just like others of their age – especially when it comes to getting out of school.
“Without a doubt, my children from time to time do get ‘sore throats’ in the mornings, especially when there is certain things happening at school or their dad is going to play some game.
“They definitely try to get out of school. My son was playing football yesterday and he hurt his neck and the physio came over to me and she said, ‘He’s fine but his first question was, ‘Do I have to go to school tomorrow?’’”
Quizzed on who it was, David added: “It was Cruz. He’s the cheeky one.”
