‘She's my homey, my best friend,’ says Beyoncé about her daughter who is now nearly a year old.

In fact, the 32 year-old singer has claimed the bond between her and her baby was strong even before they had met.

'I felt very maternal around eight months,' she said in a recent interview.

But it was during the birth of her child that Beyoncé felt the special bond with her child deepen.

'We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication'

‘I thought I couldn’t become any more until I saw the baby… But it happened during my labor because I had a very strong connection with my child.'

'We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication,' she said in a recent interview.

'I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door'

The pop star told the Australian magazine that the overwhelming connection she felt with her unborn child is what got her through the pain of giving birth.

'I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door,' she said.

'And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain.'

The singer has previously spoken about how deeply offended and hurt she was by speculation during her pregnancy that she was wearing a false bump while a surrogate was really carrying the child.

And recently, her husband Jay-Z has also hit out at the rumours that rocked their family over a year ago.

In a recent magazine interview, Blue’s father called the accusations ‘stupid,’ saying: ‘I don't even know how to answer that. It's just so stupid.’

‘You know, I felt dismissive about it, but you’ve got to feel for her. I mean, we’ve got a really charmed life, so how can we complain? But when you think about it, we’re still human beings.’
