A representative for Ant McPartlin has responded to claims that he and Amanda Holden had a 'fight' at Britain's Got Talent auditions in Manchester earlier this week.

The rumours started when pictures circulated of the two appearing to be in a heated exchange, something his rep dismissed as 'absolute rubbish'.

The Mirror reports that his rep issued a statement saying: "Ant and Amanda were not having any form of argument. They were literally having a conversation."

This comes after Amanda appeared to attempt to quash the rumours on Twitter, writing: "Loving #Manchester @bgt #fabulous #first #day up here – loads of fun. Too much #laughter." alongside a picture of them all together.

This wasn't the first time Ant, who had a difficult year with his stint in rehab and divorce from Lisa Armstrong, has hit headlines after antics at the Britain's Got Talent auditions.

It was reported last week that he 'broke down in tears' after watching a particular act's performance.

The Mirror reported that Ant started crying after hearing a magician's heartbreaking story about his wife and daughter's cancer.

A source said: "Ant got very emotional, which was unusual. This story seems to really strike a chord with Ant.

"We wondered if the pressure has finally got to him? Was he letting out lots of tears about more than just this story?"

Ant announced he would be divorcing Lisa last month in a statement.

He told The Mirror: "In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.
