Model and TV presenter Abby Clancy, was left understandably ‘shaken’ and ‘traumatised’ after burglars targeted her holiday home in the south of France recently.

Abbey was present in the house with friends when she woke to noises that happened to be intruders rifling through her belongings.

Her husband, Peter Crouch, was away working as a presenter for ITV at the time – discussing the match between England and Iceland.

A source has reportedly confirmed that nothing was stolen and the intruders left empty-handed.

The source close to Abbey told The Sun On Sunday:

"Abbey seemed quite traumatised. She can't stop thinking about what could have happened to them if they hadn't woken up or if the burglars had been armed.

"Peter has been commuting between Paris and Antibes, but he was in Paris at the time.

"He was horrified someone had broken into the villa and extremely relieved Abbey and her pals were okay. Luckily, Abbey was due to fly to the UK on Tuesday, so she didn't have to stay in a villa where she would not have felt safe."

This isn’t the first time Abbey and her family have been the victims of thieves.

Back in 2011, the couple were left ‘devastated’ after burglars broke in and stole Christmas presents worth thousands of pounds.
