The pictures – showing the TV stars rallying for help from the public – have been created to highlight a new ‘Buy One, Feed One’ campaign from Pedigree.

The initiative sees Pedigree donate one meal to rescue dogs for every special pack of Pedigree bought through the month of September and beginning of October.

With the help of doggy-loving shoppers out there, Pedigree is aiming to make the largest donation of dog food to rescue dogs in rehoming centres in the UK.

On his part in the campaign, Paul O’Grady says: ‘Pedigree’s commitment to feeding rescue dogs not only enables them to have the good, consistent diet that they need for a full recovery but also frees up centres to spend their funding on everything from veterinary bills and essential medical supplies for staff to care for the dogs.

‘Please help us to donate as many meals as possible by going in store and buying a special pack of Pedigree,’ he added.

Amanda Holden says: ‘As a dog lover myself, I am privileged to support a campaign which will see dogs in need fed around the country and hope that as many people can take a moment starting this weekend to help support Pedigree’s initiative to feed even more rescues dog.’

The ‘Buy One, Feed One’ promotion is available in store now until early October. To find out more, visit: pedigree.com/brighterfutures
